Lorella Stefanelli

Lorella Stefanelli (born February 20, 1959 in San Marino ) is a politician from San Marino . Together with Nicola Renzi , she was elected Capitano Reggente , the head of state of San Marino, on March 17, 2015 for the period from October 1, 2015 to April 1, 2016 .

Stefanelli studied law at the University of Bologna . She is a lawyer and notary and holds managerial positions in the public service of San Marino. From 1978 to 1991 she headed the Ufficio Segreteria Istituzionale. She then worked as a freelance lawyer and notary from 1991 to 1994 and taught San-Marine law at the secondary school (Scuola Secondaria Superiore). From 1994 she was employed at the Ufficio di Stato Civile, Servizi demografici ed Elettorali . In 2003 she was coordinator of the Ministry of Health, from 2004 to 2007 head of Direzione Finanza Pubblica and between 2010 and 2012 coordinator of the Ministry of Labor. She is currently employed in a leading position in the Ministry of Tourism.

Stefanelli was first elected in the parliamentary elections in December 2012 as an independent on the list of the PDCS - NS in the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino. She is a member of the Home Affairs and Justice Committee. Since January 2013 she has headed the San Marinese delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and was a member of the Committee of Inquiry into the Cassa di Risparmio .

Stefanelli is married and has two children. She lives in Serravalle .
