Mahlsdorf is a district of the town of Golßen in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .
location
Mahlsdorf is on the border of Lower Lusatia between the Lower Fläming and Lusatian Heideland. Surrounding villages are already in Teltow-Fläming lying Klasdorf in the north of the municipality Rietzneuendorf-Staakow belonging district Friedrichshof in the Northeast, Altgolßen in the southeast, which the municipality Steinreich belonging districts Sellendorf the south and Schenkendorfstraße in the southwest and the turn in the Teltow -Fläming lying Groß Ziescht in the west.
In the western part of the Mahlsdorf district run the federal highway 96 from Baruth / Mark to Luckau and the Berlin – Dresden railway line .
history
Mahlsdorf was first mentioned in 1474 as "Malstorff". The place is probably named after a person with the Slavic personal name "Mal". The manor Mahlsdorf was then under the manor of the Count zu Salms and belonged to the Baruth estate .
After the agreements of the Congress of Vienna , Mahlsdorf came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 . Due to its historical affiliation to the Baruth registry, Mahlsdorf was the only village in Lower Lusatia that was assigned to the Potsdam administrative region . There the place was in the Jüterbog-Luckenwalde district .
On July 25, 1952 Mahlsdorf was assigned to the newly formed Luckau district in the Cottbus district . After the reunification , the municipality was in the Luckau district in Brandenburg and was assigned to the newly formed Dahme-Spreewald district after the Brandenburg district reform of December 6, 1993 . On May 1, 1998 Mahlsdorf was incorporated into Golßen .
On August 30, 1992, the municipality of Mahlsdorf joined the Golßener Land office . This merged on January 1, 2013 with the Unterspreewald office . As a result, the Golßener Land office was dissolved and the villages were reclassified into the newly formed Unterspreewald office .
