The Grand Prix Jersey should from the Formula 1 2013 season as a race of the Formula 1 World Championship in New Jersey , United States , will be held, was then removed in November 2012 out of the calendar and the 2014 season moved for which he was added to the calendar subject to the route approval. However, due to ongoing financial difficulties on the part of the organizers, the Jersey Grand Prix was not included in the final racing calendar in 2014 and 2015.

The race was to take place on a 5.15 kilometer temporary racetrack in Weehawken and West New York , New Jersey on the Hudson River , with the route being planned by Hermann Tilke .
