1954 Senigallia Grand Prix, 2nd race

The Senigallia Grand Prix , also known as GP Circuito di Senigalia , was a sports car race that took place on August 8, 1954. The race was not part of any racing series.

The race

As early as the 1930s , car races were held at the Circuito di Senigallia , a street circuit in the Italian seaside resort of Senigallia . In 1930 Luigi Arcangeli won there and celebrated the second race victory for the then still young Scuderia Ferrari . In 1954 there were two races. The sports cars with a displacement of up to 2 liters were first launched. Luigi Musso won on a plant - Maserati A6GCS .

After that, vehicles with a displacement of more than 2 liters drove out their race. The victory won Umberto Maglioli the factory Ferrari 750 Monza .
