The Great Zelenchuk ( Russian Большой Зеленчук ; Bolshoi Zelenchuk ) is a left tributary of the Kuban in the Russian Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia and in the Stavropol region .
The Great Selenchuk arises at the confluence of its two source rivers Psysch and Kisgytsch on the northern flank of the Greater Caucasus . The typical mountain river runs in a north-northeast direction. It passes the small town of Zelenchukskaya and finally flows into the north-flowing Kuban after 158 km in the big city of Nevinnomyssk . 80 km above the mouth, its mean discharge is 40 m³ / s. The most important tributary is the Kjafar from the left.
