Grand Lodge of the Liberal Masons of Turkey
The Grand Lodge of the Liberal Masons of Turkey ( Türkiye Büyük Mahfili Derneği Büyük Locasi ) has 4,000 members in a total of 43 lodges that meet in 8 buildings in 7 cities. The responsibility of the grand lodge covers the three degrees of Blue Hospice Freemasonry ( apprentice, journeyman, master ). The High Council (Yüksek Şura) is responsible for the subsequent degrees of the Old and Accepted Scottish Rite from 4 to 33. The high council has a total of 1,400 members. Since 1991 there has also been a Liberal Grand Lodge for women, founded with the help of the Grand Lodge, which is the only one of its kind in Turkey .
history
The Grand Lodge was created in 1966 after the division from the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Turkey . In 1967 the Grand Lodge received its first patent from the Grand Lodge of France and its second patent in 1989 from the Grand Orient de France . Both patents corresponded to Liberal Freemasonry . The patents also do not contain any organic bond of obligation or a common organization. The grand lodge has also been a member of CLIPSAS for around 15 years , to which exactly 61 liberal grand lodges belong. Furthermore, she is a member of the Association of European Freemasons, to which 32 Masonic organizations belong.
