Great Orient of Poland
The Grand Orient of Poland (Wielki Wschod Polski-WWP) is an association of liberal Masonic lodges in Poland .
He is a member of the SIMPA (International Masonic Secretariat of the Adogmatic Powers). The origins of the GOvP go back to the 18th century. It was dissolved several times: by tsarist Russia , by National Socialism and by the communist dictatorship . The GOvP was revived in the early 1990s, after the collapse of the Eastern Bloc. He initially worked under the umbrella organization of the Grand Orient de France until it became a sovereign obedience in 1997. The first Grand Master of the rebuilt Greater East of Poland was the Polish philosopher and author Andrzej Nowicki.
