Great stone graves near Groß Hesebeck
The megalithic graves near Groß Hesebeck were two megalithic tombs of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Groß Hesebeck , a district of Bad Bevensen in the Uelzen district ( Lower Saxony ). They were destroyed in the 19th century. A grave was located north of the village, right next to a group of burial mounds , which also included a strikingly large stone. The second grave was to the west of this, also by a group of burial mounds with a large stone. The large stone graves were documented in the 1840s by Georg Otto Carl von Estorff , but not described in detail. No information is available on the orientation, dimensions and type of grave. The card signatures only show that they had rectangular barren beds .
