Great stone graves near Karow (Plau am See)

The megalithic graves near Karow were two megalithic tombs from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Karow , a district of Plau am See in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). They were destroyed in the 19th century.

location

The graves were in the forest west or north-west of Karow on the border with Neu Damerow . The megalithic graves were located near Damerow .

description

There is no more detailed information about the orientation, dimensions and type of grave. Georg Christian Friedrich Lisch mentioned two large giant beds , but gave no information about the burial chambers .
