description

Grave 1

Grave 1 was destroyed in 1828 while the road was being built . It was of considerable size, had several wall stones and a massive capstone. Information on alignment and dimensions are not available. The number of wall stones is also not recorded, so that no conclusions can be drawn about the exact type of grave. A subsequent burial was discovered during the removal of the complex . It consisted of a bowl-shaped bronze vessel that was only preserved in the lower area and contained some bone fragments ( corpse burn ). The vessel came to the Royal Museum of Ethnology in Berlin , today's Museum of Prehistory and Early History .

Grave 2

According to Leopold von Ledebur, grave 2 was largely untouched around 1844. A more detailed description of the facility was not given at the time. It was later removed without documentation.
