The large stone grave Bossee (also called Margaretenberg ) is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture in Bossee , a district of Westensee in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 163.
location
The grave is to the west of the village, directly east of the house Bossee 10. 2.8 km south are the large stone graves near Deutsch-Nienhof .
description
The system has a round mound with a diameter of 15 m and a preserved height of 1.5 m. The burial chamber is oriented east-west and has a rectangular floor plan. The length is 4.5 m and the width 1 m. All of the wall stones on the northern and the two easternmost ones on the southern long side as well as one end stone on each of the narrow sides have been preserved. There are probably three wall stones missing on the south side and all cap stones. The exact grave type can not be determined with certainty, but the number of wall stones makes a transition grave with an access on the south side likely.
