Sprockhoff no. 136

The large stone grave Felm is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Felm in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 136.

location

The grave is located west of Felm, a few meters north of the Vossberg road. The large stone grave Borghorsterhütten is located 2.4 km north-northwest .

description

The complex has a north-east-south-west oriented burial chamber , which can be referred to as an ancient dolmen . It has a length of 2.2 m and a width of 0.8 m. The chamber apparently makes a complete impression. There are two pairs of wall stones on the long sides, one end stone each on the narrow sides and a large cap stone with a length of 3 m, a width of 1.9 m and a thickness of 1 m. Both end stones only reach half the height of the wall stones. Ernst Sprockhoff therefore assumed that at least one of these stones should be seen as a modern addition, since half-height end stones usually only appear on one side, but not on both sides. The contents of the chamber are cleared.
