The large stone grave in Giekau is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Giekau in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 186.

location

The grave is located east of Giekau on the north-western edge of the forest area Strezerberg. The megalithic graves are located 1 km east-southeast near Panker .

description

The capstone of the burial chamber has about 30 bowls

The facility has an approximately north-south oriented megalithic bed with a length of 27 m and a width of 12 m in the north and 8 m in the south. The mound still has a preserved height of 1.2 m. There are still numerous stones on the long sides of the enclosure, but only in the northern half of the bed. At the north end is the north-south oriented burial chamber . There are two wall stones on the western and three on the eastern long side as well as two end stones on the northern narrow side and a cap stone. The southern part of the chamber is missing. The wall stones are completely covered with earth, only the capstone protrudes from the ground. It has about 30 bowls on its top . The exact dimensions and type of chamber cannot be determined with certainty.
