The Baumgartenjoch ( 1939 m above sea level ) forms the eastern end of a ridge in the Vorkarwendel in Tyrol , which extends from the Delpsjoch in an east-west direction. Although the neighboring Delpsjoch is often visited from the Tölzer Hütte , the Baumgartenjoch is a rarely visited summit that can only be reached without a path.
North below the steeply sloping north walls of the ridge is the Delpssee , while the south side forms less prominent steep grass slopes .
