The large stone grave Grönwohld is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Grönwohld , a district of Schwedeneck in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 114.
location
The grave is located west of Grönwohld in the Lehmrott enclosure. There are numerous other large stone graves in the vicinity : 1.6 km to the north-west is the large stone grave Noer 1 , 2.3 km to the west are the large stone graves Noer 2 and 3 , 2.7 km east-southeast are the large stone graves at Birkenmoor and 2.9 km to the west the megalithic graves near Lindhöft .
description
The complex has an approximately east-west oriented rectangular barren bed with a length of 18 m and a width of 5 m. Ernst Sprockhoff was able to make out 26 stones of the enclosure in 1933, but only a few of them were in situ . The mound shows no signs of disturbance. A burial chamber cannot be seen. Whether this is completely covered with earth or whether it is a chamberless giant bed cannot be determined with certainty.
