Great stone grave Krampas

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone grave Krampas (in the literature mostly under the spelling Großsteingrab Crampas ) was a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Krampas , a district of Sassnitz in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was probably destroyed in the 19th century. The existence of the grave was recorded by hand in the 1820s by Friedrich von Hagenow . His notes, which were intended to record the entire inventory of the megalithic graves on Rügen and in New Western Pomerania , were published by Rudolf Baier in 1904 . The system at Krampas was only included in a list. Their exact location, dimensions and orientation are unknown. It is only noted that it was a large dolmen without a stone enclosure.
