description
The tomb was opened on April 2, 1726. Martin Mushard published a description of the system in his main work Palaeogentilismus Bremensis . It had a double circular or oval enclosure and a burial chamber with five cap stones, probably oriented east-west . The interior of the chamber was divided into two by a transverse wall. The description is to the exact grave type safe to identify them being inaccurate, but because of the size it must be a great dolmen or passage grave have acted.
The ventricular plaster was discovered at a depth of 5 feet . It consisted of a layer of red-annealed field stones, which was applied directly to the ground. Several finds were made about 0.3 m above it. Two ceramic shards were discovered on the west side, below the other capstones further shards as well as charcoal and a knife or a spearhead made of flint were found.
