Great stone grave Pentz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone grave Pentz was a megalithic grave system of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Pentz , a district of Borrentin in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was probably destroyed in the 19th century.

location

According to a report from 1832, the grave was on the paddock of the village mayor of Pentz.

description

The grave had a mound that was surrounded by a triangular stone enclosure. The largest stones were in the east; It may be possible to deduce from this information that the facility was oriented east-west. The hill was overgrown with bushes. No information is available about a possible burial chamber , so the exact type of facility cannot be determined.
