The large stone grave Schönfeld is a megalithic burial complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Schönfeld in the Uckermark district ( Brandenburg ). It bears the Sprockhoff number 456.

location

The grave is located about 600 m south-southeast of Schönfeld am Galgenberg, next to a marl pit in an open field.

description

Only the heavily damaged remnant of a burial chamber remains of the complex , which was probably originally encased by a rolling stone mound. There are still three stones left, presumably marking the southern end of the chamber. There are two opposite wall stones, of which the western one is still in situ , its inwardly sunk eastern counterpart and a blasted stone, possibly another wall stone. The exact orientation, dimensions and type of the chamber cannot be determined. Finds from the grave are not known.
