Josef Mariano Kitschker
Josef Mariano Kitschker (born November 10, 1879 in Munich , † June 8, 1929 in Karlsruhe ) was a German painter.
Life
Josef Mariano Kitschker was the son of the painter Joseph Kitschker (* 1847) from Patschkau ( province of Silesia ) and his wife Philomene, b. Drummer. He learned the painting trade in his father's workshop and is said to have studied in Munich and Karlsruhe. In 1907 he married Lina Schrempp from Bruchsal and moved to Bruchsal. There he was involved in the restoration of the castle's frescoes . In 1918 or early 1919 he moved to Karlsruhe.
He is best known for his neo-baroque frescoes in numerous church buildings in Baden and Switzerland .
