Stefan Gerstner

Stefan Gerstner (born December 26, 1885 in Mörsch , Baden , † December 1, 1971 there ) was a German painter.

He was the son of the plasterer Xaver Gerstner (1852–1888) and his wife Karoline Walter. In 1920 he married Maria Emilie Deck. He trained with the church painter Max Stertz in Endingen and studied with Hans Thoma at the Karlsruhe Art Academy . He mainly created paintings for churches in Baden.
