The large stone grave in Sierhagen is a megalithic burial complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Sierhagen , a district of Altenkrempe in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 283.

location

The grave is located 1.3 km north of Sierhagen in a field. The large stone grave Sierhagen 2 is located 3.3 km south-southwest .

description

The complex has an oval mound. The burial chamber is oriented north-south. It is probably a passage grave with a length of 7.5 m and a width between 2 m and 2.2 m. There are five wall stones on the western and four on the eastern long side, one end stone in the north and two end stones in the south and all five cap stones. One or two wall stones are missing on the east side. The stones on the west side and the two outer stones on the east side are still in situ . The end stones have tipped over to the outside. The capstones are inside the chamber. The two southern capstones and the two adjoining wall stones on the east side have several bowls . The original access to the chamber was probably on the east side, but its exact location is unknown.
