The Wehden large stone grave is one between 3500 and 2800 BC. Resulting Chr. Megalithic site of the Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) in Wehden, a town in the municipality Schiffdorf in the district of Cuxhaven in Lower Saxony . It bears the Sprockhoff number 611.

location

The grave is only a few hundred meters southwest of the outskirts of Wehden in a forest on the western slope of a hill called Blankenberg. 2.6 km to the northeast are the giant beds of Drangstedt.

description

The system has a round mound with a diameter of 13 m and a height of 2.5 m. In their midst is a east-west oriented grave chamber, which is a passage grave concerns. Their length is 4.5 m, the width is between 1.7 m and 1.9 m. In its original state it had four pairs of wall stones on the long sides, one end stone each on the narrow sides, three cap stones and a corridor on the middle of the south side, which consisted of two wall stones and one cap stone. The western end stone, the two adjoining wall stone pairs, another stone on the south side and the two wall stones of the corridor are still preserved. All are still in their original position. The remaining four wall stones and all cap stones are missing. The width of the corridor is 0.9 m.
