Grobsdorf is a hamlet in the town of Ronneburg in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

The Rundplatzweiler is located about two kilometers west of the city of Ronneburg. It is about 280 meters above sea level. The district road 115 Ronneburg - Gera - Pforten leads through the hamlet . The farmsteads are all oriented towards the town center. The village used to be protected from leaks with hedges, walls, ramparts and ditches.
history
The hamlet was first mentioned in a document on May 29, 1276. From 1554 until the exchange of territory in 1928, part of the place belonged to the Saxon exclave " Ziegenhierdsches Ländchen ". Before 1952 there were only five small and medium-sized farmers. The workers drove to the cities. After 1961 the farmers also took the East German route .
On July 1, 1950, the hamlet was incorporated into Ronneburg.
