Gros Piton (Eng. "Große / r Scharte / Summit") is a mountain in the Pitons area , a protected area in the southwest of St. Lucia , and there in the south of the Soufrière quarter . It stands at the end of Pitons Bay and rises to a height of 798 m (2,619 ft) above sea level . After Mount Gimie , it is the second highest mountain in St. Lucia. It consists of an old volcanic core .

tourism

The Gros Piton can be climbed without climbing equipment. The ascent to the summit only takes a few hours. There are government trained guides on site.
