The Grossherzog-Friedrich-Berg (rarely also Großherzog-Friedrich-Berg ) is one of the highest mountains in Namibia with a height of 2336 m . The mountain is located around 15 kilometers southwest of Windhoek and is one of the most striking elevations seen from there. It is part of the Auas Mountains , a 50 kilometer long mountain range with a width of only 10 kilometers, the ridge line is an average of 2000 meters.
A hiking trail leads to the summit of the Grossherzog-Friedrich-Berg . The mountain is the most important location for transmitters for the capital Windhoek.
