The Hausberg mine was an iron mine near Sechshelden ( Haiger municipality ) in the Lahn-Dill district . The pit was between Sechshelden and Dillenburg near the old federal highway 277, south of the A45, 150 m south of the pigeon club. Eisenstein was mined from approx. 1873 to 1875 . The tunnel was probably less than 100 m long. The dump can still be seen today, although the tunnel mouth hole is likely to have been in the still visible depression in the slope.
