The Heidkamp III mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Gronau district . Due to a Mutungssgesuchs of 15 March 1864 was carried out ceremony of the mining area on September 27, 1865 the name Heidkamp III on Eisenstein. It covered the lignite mine fields Cedernwald , Urbanus and Ludwigshoffnung. The point of discovery was between the railway embankment and the Brunhildenpfad houses. Today there are no more relics because gardens were created there. Nothing is known about the operating activities.
