The Heidkamp III mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Gronau district . Due to a Mutungssgesuchs of 15 March 1864 was carried out ceremony of the mining area on September 27, 1865 the name Heidkamp III on Eisenstein. It covered the lignite mine fields Cedernwald , Urbanus and Ludwigshoffnung. The point of discovery was between the railway embankment and the Brunhildenpfad houses.
