The Jacob mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Hebborn district . The request for mutation is dated February 24, 1853. The award document dates from July 5, 1867 on iron. The Jacob mine field was in the vicinity of the Hebborner Hof. If you go about 50 m south into the small forest at the confluence of the street Am Heidetor with Odenthaler Straße, you will see several larger depressions that were created by quarrying. Iron ore was also found. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
