The Romeo mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Katterbach district . The request for mutation is dated November 10, 1853. It was repeated on December 1, 1865. The award document dates from April 18, 1867 for iron ore . The mine field was in the vicinity of Seelsheide and Hoppersheide. The forest area behind the Leuchter Gemark 6 house is criss-crossed with various fences. Traces of mining can no longer be clearly found. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
