The Everstenmoor is a nature reserve on the outskirts of the Lower Saxony city of Oldenburg .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 202 is 105 hectares and part of the FFH area of the same name . It is located in the southwest of the city of Oldenburg on the border with the Ammerland district and north of the coastal canal . The protected high moor area is part of the Wildenlohmoor, which has since disappeared and has remained largely uncultivated. In the reserve, silted up former hand peat cuttings , bog heath and bog forest can be found. In the peripheral areas there is also grassland that is partly fallow .
The area is drained via ditches leading to the Hausbäke, which forms part of the city ditch in Oldenburg and flows into the Haaren in the city center .
The area has been a nature reserve since July 28, 1990. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the city of Oldenburg.
