The Krusenbusch embankment is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony city of Oldenburg .
The nature reserve with the NSG WE 230 label is 53 hectares in size. It is located in the Oldenburg district of Krusenbusch, west of the Oldenburg – Osnabrück railway line on a marshalling yard that has been unused since 1977 and is located on an embankment . The site extends over a length of more than 3500 meters, roughly from the A 28 motorway bridge in the north to the jump path in the south. At its widest point, it is around 200 meters wide. On the sandy locations, u. a. Lean lawns , ruderal meadows and deciduous bushes in front, on lime-rich embankments, semi-ruderal grass and shrub meadows .
Parts of the area are used for agriculture through grazing and mowing .
The area has been a nature reserve since May 14, 1998. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the city of Oldenburg.
