With around 4,000 inhabitants, Krusenbusch is a district in the south of the Lower Saxony city of Oldenburg (Oldb) .

geography

The district is five kilometers north of Sandkrug . Already in the years following the end of the war, new settlement areas emerged along the Oldenburg – Osnabrück (Südbahn) railway line, consisting almost exclusively of single-family houses.

Economy and Infrastructure

The bus connection is ensured by the bus lines 313 and 323 of Verkehr und Wasser GmbH (VWG), which provide a fast connection from the Oldenburg city center via Bahnhofsallee and the Kreyen-Centrum (323) or via the street "Am Bahndamm" (313) in the settlement areas of Krusenbusch. The Bümmerstede district on the other side of the railway line can be easily reached on foot via a railway overpass . In the past, trains also stopped in Krusenbusch; the Krusenbusch station today - like the former Oldenburg-Osternburg stop - no longer exists. The Krusenbusch freight station at that time has now been transformed into the Krusenbusch railway embankment nature reserve .

There is a primary school in Krusenbusch, which has been open all day since 2014. The Ev.-Luth. Parish Osternburg is the community center Jona represented. The Bürgererverein Krusenbusch eV has made the promotion of community life its task.
