Bernhard Weinschütz

Bernhard Weinschütz (born December 19, 1966 in Speyer ) is a German lawyer and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 2008 to 2013 he was a judge at the Finance Court in Hamburg and has been a judge at the Finance Court at the Berlin-Brandenburg Finance Court since 2013. Before that he worked as a judge in Berlin from 1995 . From 1999 to 2001 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Weinschütz studied law. He passed the First State Examination in 1992 and the Great State Examination in 1995, each with distinction. In April 1995 he joined the general judicial service of the State of Berlin and initially worked as a local judge at the Tempelhof-Kreuzberg and Tiergarten local courts . In November 1996 he moved to the Berlin Regional Court , where, with the exception of a six-month secondment to the Berlin Administrative Court , he worked for twelve years in 2002. While he was a member of the parliament, his employment as a judge was suspended. In 2008 he was appointed judge at the finance court in Hamburg. On July 1, 2013, he moved to the Berlin-Brandenburg Finance Court.

Weinschütz is a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. He is on the left wing there.

In the 1999 election, Weinschütz was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. Due to the Greens' loss of votes in the 2001 election, he resigned from parliament after just two years.
