The Grube Segen Gottes is a former lead ore mine in the Bensberg ore district in Stümpen in the town of Rösrath .

history

The first request for encouragement under the name of God's blessing was made by the Steiger Theodor Heibach from Hoffnungsthal on December 19, 1902, for lead and zinc ores . During the field inspection on January 23, 1903, it turned out that only lead ores could be shown. Therefore, on January 29, 1903, Heibach renewed his expectation exclusively on lead ores. In the meantime he had ceded his shares in Mutung Gottessegen to the mine director Albert Lippig and the businessman Vierkotten. In the final hearing on June 24, 1903, there were disagreements regarding the name of the pit because there were already two pits with the name of God's blessing. On August 12, 1903, it was agreed that the courage should be given the new name of God's blessing. Accordingly, on October 27, 1903, Theodor Heibach, Gustav Wolff and Albert Lippig were awarded the Grube Segen Gottes on lead. According to the notarial deed of November 30, 1903, the three men named formed a union with 100 kuxes. The total value of the mine had previously been estimated on November 22, 1903 at 5,000 marks. On April 28, 1959, upon request, the Bonn Oberbergamt informed the securities department of Commerzbank AG in Düsseldorf, among other things, that the Segen Gottes mine had apparently not been operated.

location

The location of the mine was in the western crosscut of a mining shaft 8 m deep , about 130 m north of the village of Steinknippen in the town of Rösrath. Steinknippen was a small settlement in Stümpen on today's Margarethenhöh , where the Ahornweg and the Gerottener Weg meet.
