Grunja Jefimowna Sucharewa ( Russian Груня Ефимовна Сухарева ; born   November 11, 1891 Kiev ; † April 26, 1981 Moscow ) was a Russian doctor specializing in psychiatry . Sucharewa is one of the pioneers of child and adolescent psychiatry in the USSR .

In 1926 she described six children whose personality she characterized with the term " schizoid psychopathy ". The term and its descriptions are somewhat similar to today's schizoid personality disorder . Sula Wolff , on the other hand, was of the opinion that the characteristics summarized under “ schizoid psychopathy ” had numerous similarities with Asperger's syndrome . This is a mild form of autism that was described a little later by Hans Asperger .

Life

Sucharewa worked from 1917 to 1921 at the psychiatric university clinic in Kiev . She then organized psychiatric institutions in Moscow before she was appointed professor in Kharkov in 1933 . In 1938 she switched to the management of the clinic for child psychiatry in Moscow, where she also taught at the central institute for further medical training.
