Grupo Revelação
Grupo Revelação ( Portuguese "development") is a Brazilian pagoda band from Rio de Janeiro .
Career
Grupo Revelação was founded in 1991. The band was coined by Victor Stecca in the typical Pagoda Carioca style. João Carlos Silva Filho, artistic director of the FM O Dia radio station, played a major role in the band's success. In 1999, BMG released their first album Revelação, on which musicians from the Kiloucura group participated. The album includes the song Zé do Caroço, a cover version of the song by Leci Brandão. In 2002 Grupo Revelação had their greatest successes, they switched to the Deckdisc label and released the album Ao Vivo no Olimpo , which sold 700,000 times and was number two of the best-selling Pagoda CDs. Her fame established itself beyond Rio de Janeiro on a national level and after tours in the USA , Europe and Japan also internationally. Novos Tempos from 2003 became the group's fourth CD. In 2005, Deckdisc released a DualDisc entitled Samba do Brasil after selling a million CDs . This was followed by Velocidade da Luz and in 2008 Aventureiro with the hits Aventureiro and Medo de Amar. In 2009 Grupo Revelação recorded a live concert in the Morro da Urca district called Ao Vivo no Morro . Her biggest and most popular hits include Deixa Acontecer, Coração Radiante, Talvez, Essência da Paixão and Grades do Coração.
