Grzegorz Muskala

Grzegorz Muskala (* 1978 in Gliwice ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Muskala grew up in Germany, where his family emigrated in 1981; He spent his childhood and youth on the Lower Rhine. Muskala first studied theater, film and television studies in Cologne, then in 2002/03 directing at the State University for Film, Television and Theater - Leon Schiller (PWSFTviT) in Lodz . In 2003 he received a scholarship from the Hannover Cultural Region Foundation and nordmedia . From 2004 he continued his studies in directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin . He earned his diploma with the psychological thriller The Woman Behind the Wall (screenplay with Robby Dannenberg , with Vincent Redetzki and Katharina Heyer in the leading roles), which he had realized for the ZDF series Das kleine Fernsehspiel . Muskala lives and works in Berlin.

Awards

  • In 2014 he was honored as the best director for The Woman Behind the Wall at the International Film Festival of Tamilnadu (India) .
