Grzegorz Skrzecz
Grzegorz Skrzecz (born August 25, 1957 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish amateur heavyweight boxer . He is the twin brother of boxer Paweł Skrzecz .
Success in boxing
During his competitive career, he was around 1.86 m tall and boxed in the Warsaw sports club Gwardia Warszawa . He was Polish champion in 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1984 and won tournaments in Poland, Germany and Austria, among others.
His greatest international successes were winning a bronze medal at the 1982 World Championships in Munich and winning another bronze medal at the 1983 European Championships in Varna . In 1982 he took part in the Olympic Games in Moscow , but was eliminated from Teófilo Stevenson in 5th place.
