Guðný Halldórsdóttir

Guðný Halldórsdóttir (born January 23, 1954 ) is an Icelandic director .

She is the youngest daughter of Halldór Laxness and his wife Auður Sveinsdóttir. She studied at the London Film School .

Her first feature film was “ Am Gletscher ” based on a novel by her father, from which she also made a film “Das gute Fräulein” after his death. The film comedy “The Male Choir”, which was also shown in Germany, was made under her direction .
