Guasave is a city with about 71,000 inhabitants in the Mexican state of Sinaloa near the Gulf of California and the administrative seat of the Municipio Guasave . Guasave lies between Los Mochis and Navolato and is crossed by Carretera Federal 15 . The city and its surrounding area is known as the agricultural heart of Mexico .
