Gucha District

The Gucha District was a district in the Nyanza Province in Kenya . The capital of the district was Ogembo .

The district was divided into the divisions Etago, Kenyenya, Nyacheki, Nyamache, Nyamarambe, Ogembo and Sameta. As part of the 2010 constitution , the Kenyan districts were dissolved. The area is now part of Kisii County .

Infrastructure

The Gucha District Hospital with 50 beds was located in Ogembo.

religion

The district belonged to the diocese of Kisii of the Roman Catholic Church . The parish of St. Thomas Aposde had existed in the Etago division since 1992.
