The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kisii ( lat. : Dioecesis Kisiianus ) is in Kenya situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Kisii . It includes the counties of Kisii and Nyamira .

history

Pope John XXIII founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Divina Christi on May 21, 1960 from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Kisumu and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Nairobi as a suffragan diocese.

On October 18, 1993, it lost part of its territory to the Diocese of Homa Bay . On May 21, 1990, it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Kisumu .
