Gudrun Arnitz , married Zulehner , (born October 27, 1966 in Schörfling am Attersee ) is a former Austrian ski racer . She won the downhill championship in the European Cup in the 1983/84 season and won the Ski & Golf World Championship in 2005 and 2007 .

Career

Arnitz attended the main ski school in Windischgarsten . At the beginning of the 1980s she was accepted into the squad of the Austrian Ski Association . She achieved her greatest successes in the European Cup in the 1983/84 season : with two downhill victories in Puy-Saint-Vincent and Spital am Semmering and a third place in the combination of Spital, she secured victory in the downhill classification and sixth in the overall standings. At the end of this winter she came to her first World Cup competition in Mont Sainte-Anne . Further starts in the World Cup followed in the 1984/85 season. However, Arnitz never reached the points and was therefore used again exclusively in the European Cup in the 1985/86 season, where top positions were also missing. In the following winter, she did not reach any top placements in the European Cup, which is why she lost her squad membership in 1987 and ended her career at the age of only 20.

After the end of her career, Arnitz completed training as a masseuse and fitness trainer . She married her boyfriend and had two sons. Gudrun Zulehner, as she has been called since her marriage, remained an active skier and started playing golf. At the Ski & Golf World Championships she was world champion in 2005 and 2007.
