Guido van de Kamp (born February 8, 1964 in Den Bosch ) is a former Dutch football goalkeeper .

Career

Guido van de Kamp began his career in his hometown at FC Den Bosch . The goalkeeper played for the youth teams of the club from the province of North Brabant from 1984 to 1989. After a year in the professional squad without commitment, he moved to NEC Nijmegen for whom he played three games from 1990 to 1991. On July 11, 1991, van de Kamp moved to Scotland for the first division club Dundee United for a transfer fee of £ 40,000 . At United he was in the first season under Jim McLean first goalkeeper and completed 27 games before he lost the post to Alan Main in the further course of the season . In the 1992/93 season van de Kamp completed only one game in the league. Another season later he completed 25 league games under the new Yugoslav coach Ivan Golac . On May 21, 1994 van de Kamp stood with the Tangerines in the Scottish Cup final which was won against the Glasgow Rangers . The Dutchman was given preference over Alan Main and Brian Flies . This bet was his last in goal for United . After contractual disputes with his club, he was transferred to the reserve team. In January 1995 he finally moved to the second division club Dunfermline Athletic for an undisclosed fee . With the club he celebrated promotion to the Premier Division in the 1995/96 season . At the end of the 1996/97 season , van de Kamp moved to the second-rate Raith Rovers , where he was a regular goalkeeper for the next three and a half years. From February to May 2001, he then stood 13 times at Alloa Athletic between the posts before retiring. From 2014 to 2015 he was a goalkeeping coach at FC Den Bosch.
