Guillaume Mazuel

Guillaume Mazuel (* 1541 , † 1590 ) was a French instrumental musicians of the Baroque . Guillaume Mazuel was a member of the French baroque family of musicians Mazuel .

Guillaume Mazuel and his brother Adrien are considered to be the founders of the Parisian baroque musician dynasty Mazuel. Guillaume's father was the cook Jean Mazuel, his son the composer Jean Mazuel (father) (1568-1616). The place of birth and death of Guillaume Mazuel are not known.

In 1560 Guillaume Mazuel and his brother Adrien belonged to an association of orchestral musicians. From 1587 he was a member of another orchestral ensemble for 12 years. In 1574 he presided over the French Communauté des joueurs d'instruments .
