Guillaume de Posch

Guillaume de Posch (born February 16, 1958 in Arlon , Belgium ) is a Belgian media manager. Until the end of 2008 he was CEO and Managing Director of the German ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, after which he was Co- CEO of the Luxembourg RTL Group until the end of 2017 .

Life

Guillaume de Posch studied business administration at the École de Commerce Solvay in Brussels from 1978 to 1982 and began his career in 1984 at the international energy and service group Tractebel SA (now Suez-Tractebel SA), for whose 'Engineering Division' he was most recently 'Vice President Far East 'in Hong Kong.

In 1990 de Posch moved to McKinsey & Company Belgium, until he worked for the Luxembourgish CLT (Compagnie Luxembourgeoise Telediffusion / now RTL Group ) from 1993 to 1997 , where he was responsible for television activities in French-speaking countries. From 1997 to September 2003, de Posch worked for the French pay TV channel TPS (Télévision Par Satellite).

At the beginning of May 2004, de Posch was appointed CEO and Managing Director of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG . There he became the immediate successor of the Swiss lawyer Urs Rohner . He left the company in 2008 and worked as a freelance consultant. On February 1, 2012, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the RTL Group in Luxembourg and on April 18, together with Anke Schäferkordt, he followed the long-term CEO Gerhard Zeiler as co-CEO . In this function, he was also appointed to the Group Management Committee of the parent company Bertelsmann .

De Posch currently lives in Brussels, is married and has three sons. His wife is German.
