Guillermo Cantú (born January 12, 1968 in Torreón , Coahuila ) is a retired Mexican soccer player who mainly played in defensive midfield .

career

Cantú spent most of his professional career at the time still in the capital -based club Atlante , with whom he in the 1992/93 season Mexican soccer championship won. He also played in the 1990/91 season on loan for Club León and at the end of his active career in the 1997/98 season with Atlético Celaya .

Between July 18, 1993 (8-0 against Canada) and February 2, 1994 (1: 4 against Russia) Cantú came to a total of four international appearances for the Mexican national team .
