Gulddreng
Gulddreng (* 1994 ), real name Malte Fynboe Manniche Ebert , is a Danish musician from Andkær near Vejle .
biography
Malte Ebert published his first song Rude in 2013 when he was still attending high school in Vejle. With a schoolmate, he applied two years later under the name We Don't Know at Danmarks Radio in the career cannons talent competition , but without much response. He also published music videos on the Internet.
In 2016 he made a new start in the pop business with the Universal label in the background. He deleted his old website and appeared under the name Gulddreng (" golden boy ") wearing sunglasses. His real name was kept a secret. The cover of his first single model shows him from behind. It was released in June 2016 and rose to the top of the Danish charts within four weeks . It has been awarded platinum for over 9 million streams . After four weeks, he replaced himself at number 1 with his second single, Se mig nu . For this, too, he received platinum. After five weeks it was again a Gulddreng song that took over the top position. Together with the third single Hva 'så , he was number 1 for 11 weeks in a row. Previously, only Justin Bieber had three number one hits in a row in 2013, and only for one week each. In the meantime, his identity had become known through a Facebook post.
At the end of October Gulddreng released his fourth single, Drikker for lidt . Again she jumped straight into first place. A month later, the single Nemt made it to the top, followed by Guld jul in the first week of December. During the week of Christmas he had his seventh number one hit in a year with Ked af det . With that he surpassed the chart record set by Justin Bieber in Denmark in 2013 by one song. Malte Ebert wrote all of the songs himself, only with Model he had two co-authors.
Gulddreng won the audience award at the Danish Music Awards 2016. In the newcomer category he was one of the nominees. For Model , he was awarded the 2016 Gold Tube Prize as Danish Song of the Year on YouTube .
