Gumme (also: Ngumi , Guumme , Isola di Ngûmi , Jasiira Ngumi , Vuma , Wama ) is an island in Somalia . It belongs politically to Jubaland and geographically to the Bajuni Islands , a chain of coral islands ( barrier islands ), which extends from Kismaayo in the north over 100 kilometers to the Raas Kaambooni near the Kenyan border.

The island is off the coast, across from Uuswaanguumi and between Koyaama in the north and Yaamba in the south. The island stretches far and narrow to the north. It is about 1.5 km from the coast. The islands are also referred to here as Isole Giuba .

climate

The climate is tropical hot monsoon climate .
